Silk Chiffon, hand felted and stitched – 88cm x 118cm’

EARLY MESSAGES: ENID
Moving between personal and communal narratives, ENID combines family snapshots with images of black people fed to me and most children of my generation by British popular culture.

The Title, which refers to Enid Blyton’s infamous children’s book “The 3 Gollywogs”, is part of a series exploring identity and representation.
‘Enid’ was produced using a technique of felting silk that has been digitally printed, and then hand stitched.
